Let Your Light So Shine

soshinemaureenplut

Good morning, friends!  The summer calendar says it’s Friday so I’m playing with the newest Viva La Verve sketch!  It’s fresh off the presses and over at the Viva La Verve forum under Week 4.  Janelle is stepping it up a few notches with a fun card with a twist on the front!  Let me tell you it was hard picking a border punch!

VLVJulWk4sketch

I pulled out some fun Pebbles paper, some lovely Verve seam binding, an uplifting sentiment, some staples and went to town!  There’s one more week after this one before you can load up all your cards into the Champion’s thread for a chance to win $100 in Verve bucks!  Check out all the fun details over in the Verve Forum.  THEN, if you haven’t already…check out the birthday sale in the Verve store!  Have a great start to your weekend!

July 18

I knew I wanted to have a burst of colour on my card and some kind of celebratory sentiment.  I pulled out my CAS-ual Friday Exclamation set and some more of that fun Doodlebug Designs paper.  I also wanted to use my fun new find at Winners last week, these adorable little Cute Clips.  C-U-T-E indeed!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge #1 ~ Feeling Nautical

stronganchormaureenplut

Welcome to the first Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

For weeks, the Curtain Call Crew Design Team has been diligently preparing and anxiously awaiting "Curtain Time."  The day has finally arrived and we are thrilled to present our first inspiration challenge, Feeling Nautical.

To start the show, we have a fabulous sponsor, Verve Stamps!  Verve graciously provided our crew with the versatile and classic, yet trendy Strong Anchor stamp set with coordinating Nautical Die Set to inspire us even further with our first challenge.

That's not all, folks!  Verve is also offering the Strong Anchor stamp set and coordinating Nautical Die Set to "The Lead" of the Feeling Nautical challenge!

I was thrilled to have Verve as our first Sponsor.  It was so fun to pull out my Strong Anchor set and dies and play with them again :)  I’ve been wanting to make a little nautical banner for awhile so this seemed like the perfect opportunity.  I added the yellow dots as a nod to those fun shorts in the inspiration photo.  Oh, I sure hope you’ll help us celebrate over on the Curtain Call blog…head over there for a ton of inspiration and then join in the fun!

A True Love Story Never Ends

lovestorymaureenplut

Good morning!  It’s Friday and there’s a new Viva La Verve sketch up and ready to inspire!  Jen is treating us to this adorable sketch for Week 3…

VLVJune2013Week3

I knew I wanted to make a Love/Wedding card as my stash is pretty dismal in that area.  I looked through my newest paper pads and came to the Fancy Pants Country Boutique again.  I think I’ve used it 3 times this week! LOL  It teams up perfectly with the light blue seam binding in Verve’s Stormy Skies collection.  I’m also doing a double banner ala Stacey Schafer…I am loving/obsessing over her work lately ;)  Head over to the Viva La Verve forum for all the details about how YOU could win $100 in Verve money….hmmm, that would come in handy for the SALE going on now ;)  Yes, I’m enabling and I love it! Have a great start to your weekend :)

Small Things with Great Love ~ CASE Study #149

greatlovemaureeplut

HI everyone!  The new weekly challenge over on the CASE Study blog starts now!  Our talented Muse,  Jocelyn Olson, is treating us to another digital wonder…

July 11

Now you’d think that I would have jumped at the chance to use a photo on a card! LOL  But I figured I just posted one on Sunday so I wanted to go in a different direction.  I’ve taken the photo idea, the colours and the “heart” sentiment for my inspiration.  Now it doesn’t show up as “neon” in the photo, but I’ve used the Hero Arts neon pink for the top “oxox” heart.  It is a bright hot pink IRL.  Oh my, I love neon!  I have the small 4 pack so will be waiting for the perfect card for some more bright colours!

What do you want to create when you see Jocelyn’s card?  Head over to the CASE Study blog to see what each DT member came up with or visit each of the Design Team Members directly on their blogs below and then join in the fun!  Thanks for visiting!
