Holly Jolly Christmas ~ Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch

Good morning! I know it's Monday, but with any luck this week will fly by and it will be Friday before you know it. I have one more weekend before I start writing report cards. While viewing my card for Karen's sketch this week, you need to perform a few mathematical tasks...you are going to rotate the card clockwise 90 degrees and then shorten it!! LOL I really wanted to keep the size of the sketch, but I do not have envelopes in this size and I sell or give away my cards. With Christmas coming up, I need to keep my cards a standard size for mailing. I know Karen will understand!! :) Ok the card :) It makes me smile!! I got to use lots of my new toys on this one...PTI's Holiday Button Bits, scarlet buttons, Holiday Cheer dp, Background Basics retro set, and my new apron lace punch!!! I finally got it thanks to my friend, Melisa, finding it on line for us (she got one too!). The ribbon is from Walmart and I got it about 3 years ago...I don't use it much, but it's perfect for this card :) This may be one of the 4 designs for my own cards this year :) Have a glorious day!!

What's in it?
Stamps: PTI holiday button bits; background basics retro
Ink: SU baroque burgundy, old olive, versamark
Paper: SU kraft; PTI scarlet jewel, spring moss; holiday cheer dp, vintage cream
Accessories: PTI buttons; fiskars apron lace border punch; Walmart gingham ribbon

What a darling card! Love the holly with the buttons and the BG sets you used. The ribbon is the perfect finishing touch! I'm green with envy at the Apron lace punch you got. I've been hunting for it myself. It is such a wonderful border punch. Great job with the sketch and I'm sure Karen will forgive your slight modifications :D

Beautiful job with the challenge! I just got my Holiday Button Bits set in the mail a few days ago, and you have totally inspired me to ink it up ASAP!

We have report cards coming up too. Our window opens on Wednesday and then we conference over them at the end of the month. I think report cards may be my least favorite part of being a teacher, lol. They just take so long to do and there is so much more I would rather be doing, or preparing!

We had a staff development day today, and they allowed us to use it as a work day. I finally feel like I am caught up from being gone... Thank goodness! November is going to be a quickie month! LOTS of holidays for us down here in the US. We have another holiday next Wednesday and then I have all of Thanksgiving week off, and then minimum days the following week for conferences. I think I might blink and it will be Christmas, lol.
