Happy Thursday, my sweet blog buddies!! Get ready for a tale of woe...I had the best laid plans for Mercy's sketch this week. I had happy thoughts about using my new Verve stamps to create a beautiful winter scene. However, after over an hour of fiddling and stamping and restamping and changing ink and paper, I finally gave up and cleared off my desk. It was so disappointing :( {insert *sniff* here} I had seen so many gorgeous Verve samples over the past 2 weeks and my card was a flop!! Actually, it was more than a flop, it was flup!! So I went back to a simpler card so that my ego would not be totally shattered. I will dust myself off and this weekend I will do those fabulous Verve stamps justice...I just won't bite off more than I can chew this time :) I sure am enjoying making panels out of kraft...it's one of my "kicks" right now :) And you can never go wrong with a grosgrain bow :) Thanks for listening!! Do you have any tales of woe? LOL Oh, and BTW Mercy!! We have never met formally, but I spent the whole evening with you and I think my dh is a little jealous!! haha He went to bed without me!! LMAO! Gorgeous results....but I totally know what you mean with those days. But it's almost the weekend (thank goodness!) and you can stamp your heart out. Your button tree is phenomenal. Love this 'post-flup' card...you're well on your way to many more masterpieces!
As for sponging, I seem to start slow & just keep adding a bit at a time. Practice, practice, practice. =)
bless your heart, maureen! i have more of those days than i'd like to admit, too! sometimes nothing seems to go right, and i have to walk away for a while. as far as your husband goes...i guess he needs to learn how to share you! LOL! i had a blast at the release party, and i can't wait until the next one!
