Thank you for all you do! Colour Throwdown Challenge

Hello again!  Ahh, it feels so good to say that :)  As I've been trying to catch up on the last 2 years of card blogging, I came across the Colour Throwdown Challenge.  AND, even though it's still summer for this teacher, I cannot resist making a teacher card!  Inspired by the colours and All the fun teacher embellishments, I came up with this card with some "vintage" October Afternoon paper, a Reverse Confetti apple waiting for 2 years for the perfect card, and a sentiment from my beloved and classic Verve Teachers Count retired stamp set.

Again, I am so thankful you've stopped by and for my lovely commenters...I am definitely following up on your suggestions!  Luanne, can you believe it's been 10 years since the original PTI Stampafaire!  So grateful I made the long trek out to it :)

This is all filling my soul, friends, thanks for being here :)

Today, Tomorrow, Forever. Stock Your Stash!

Greetings and thank you to those of you who stopped by a few days ago to see my first card in what feels like FOREVER! It has been a blissful week looking around and seeing which of my favourite cardmakers are still active and what everyone has been up to!  I had to drop in on Jen and Reverse Confetti.  I looked up their latest Stock Your Stash challenge and thought it would be fun to create a shaker wedding card.  The studio is still fully stocked with all my supplies so sequins and clear plastic panels were not hard to find! LOL.

I've set up my old homemade lightbox, thankful I did not get rid of it (I was considering it!).  I tried just using my phone and natural light, but I have not figured it out so I went back to my tried and true photography, lightbox, and paint.net.  It was like riding a bike, remembering how to adjust the photo and resize it.  Not professional by any means, but just good enough to share :).  Thanks for dropping by!  If you like, let me know what's new!  For example, Kristina Werner is married!  Sequins is still around (as far as I can tell)...I feel like Rip Van Winkle or Captain America! LOL  Have a wondering day :)

Hello! You Bloom Brighter Each Day!

Oh my goodness!  Hello!  It's been what seems a lifetime since I've blogged.  Long story short...once Verve stamps closed and PTI changed ownership, my card making heart broke and my mojo just didn't feel right.  I then focused more on work and other interests, making cards only to give away.  Fast forward to this summer and recovering from hernia surgery (no worries, all went well!) and not going very far due to COVID, cleaning the studio was a top priority.  Then I had to check out the blogs I used to follow and was pleasantly surprised to see that one of my old stamping grounds, The Card Concept, was still going strong with a GORGEOUS inspiration photo.  I knew it was a great place to foster my slowly growing mojo.  I have NO new products but a room full of loved paper, stamps, and ink.  What more do I need?  I've never been good at defining my style, so I'm going with Clean and Layered. I was inspired by the colours and then let my heart decide the rest.

Not sure how much posting I'll be doing, but it feels good to be creating again!  Thanks for stopping by!

Thankful ~ The Card Concept

Greetings everyone! I'm back!  No worries, just busy with work and life...it's all good :)  It's time for a fun new challenge over at The Card Concept challenge blog!  This week our inspiration comes from this gourd-eous photo, pun totally intended!

I cracked open my new to me Simply Gourd-eous from PTI last year.  I just love the depth these multi step stamps create.  Love me some blue pumpkins too!  Head over to The Card Concept blog to see all the different interpretations from the Design Team then join in the fun!  Thanks so much for popping by:)

2 Teach is 2 Love ~ The Card Concept

Greetings everyone!  It's time for a fun new challenge over at The Card Concept challenge blog!    This week our inspiration comes from this fabulous photo:

Oh, this makes me think of French Country...and golden delicious apples!  Okay, maybe our field trip to Davison Orchard last week helped with that! LOL  I found some beautiful blue and white patterned paper in my stash and stamped some golden delicious (or Aurora) apples to make a clean and layered teacher card that makes my soul sing.  Head over to The Card Concept blog to see all the different interpretations from the Design Team then join in the fun!  Thanks so much for popping by:)

Enjoy!

Hello friends!   Yes, I'm still alive!  I've come out of a restful, fun summer and wondered where my mojo went!?  Nothing like a fun new challenge over at The Card Concept challenge blog to get the juices flowing again :)  To start our fall inspiration is this darling photo:

I think this style is vintage layered...that sounds about right and it was the vibe I was feeling as I created my first card in over a month.  I sure hope that changes!  Head over to The Card Concept blog to see all the different interpretations from the Design Team then join in the fun!  Thanks so much for popping by:)

Let's Celebrate!

Greetings everyone!  I'm back from a short, but fun trip with my girl work tribe and itching to get back into the studio.  This card is for Laurie's Fabulous Favourites challenge: Black and White.  Does it count if I made grey with my black?  I say yes, sure, of course!  I'm using a similar card layout to the one I used for a Make it Monday challenge HERE.  I love the simplicity of black and white...thanks for stopping by!  Have a great weekend :)
