Peace on Earth ~ CASE Study # 115

Hello friends! It’s (3 hours away) to a new month and that means there’s a new Muse over at CASE Study to treat us with inspiration. Let me introduce the talented Angeline Yong of The Creation of Creativity. I was inspired by the strips of colour and the white negative die cuts, although mine is a positive die cut :) I tried to add some jingle bells, but they just didn’t look right on this very CAS card.

I was inspired by this sentiment in the new Peace on Earth set as it comes from my most favourite Christmas Hymn. Every time I hear it, I get shivers and tears in my eyes.  I picked up some super sparkly glitter cardstock this past weekend and made a blinged out star embellishment to compliment the sentiment.

Good morning!  I had some more time to play with another sweet Clearly Besotted set, Twinkle Toes.  This set is perfect for celebrating a new baby or a little girl who loves to dance…I know this will be a big hit come May and June when the Dance recitals begin!  Did you notice the sweet little sheer flower/resin flower on the tutu?  I think it gives the illusion of a real tutu :) OH, I love the way you can mix all the little words to create the perfect sentiment.

Good morning!  I needed to make a card for my sister whose birthday is on October 30th.  Since it’s so close to Halloween, I thought she’d like the black and purple colour combo.  She loves Paris so I thought she’d appreciate the blinged out Eiffel Tower.  I’ve use this week’s Waltzingmouse sketch AND am entering this in the CAS-ual Friday Kraft On challenge (although this is not that CAS! lol).  I found this super fun sheer ribbon at Michaels yesterday and just had to find a card for it!  Have a lovely Sunday and thanks for visiting :)

Abundant Blessings

Good afternoon!  We had a very fun and successful field trip to the pumpkin patch last Thursday!  The owners of the farm are such a dear couple and I always get my class to write little thank you notes to them.  And I always make a little card to add to our envelope :)  The palette over on the colourQ challenge blog was the perfect inspiration for my “pumpkin/harvest” thank you card.  As I tied this gorgeous Stampin’ Up Razzleberry grosgrain ribbon, I couldn’t help but exclaim, “SU, please bring back your 5/8” grosgrain!”  Have a lovely weekend!  I’m busy in the studio with some suh-weet new Verve Stamps….release next Friday, ladies…stay tuned!

Good morning!  It’s been quite the week here with our first snowfalls this past weekend and a field trip to the Pumpkin Patch yesterday!!  It’s also TGIF and a new sketch over on the Viva La Verve Forum. Some of us Canadians wait until the first snowfall to get the winter tires on and I’m one of them.  Usually the first snowfall isn’t much and usually the snow is all melted by noon.  It is our little warning from Mother Nature to get the snow tires on.  I wasn’t looking forward to heading to the tire store early before work and dropping my car off when my lovely dh said he could just do them in the garage now that all his tools are here at the new house!  And this is where the inspiration for my little mini card (3.5 x 4.75) begins…a little love note to leave in my handsome and handy husband’s suitcase as he heads out of town for work.  A little note of love and thanks for keeping me safe…it’s things like this that mean so much, little demonstrations of love :)  So he’s my hero this week (and every day) and I wanted to let him know.  What are the demonstrations YOU love?

EEK! Okay, it’s officially the Christmas season in the studio!  Welcome to my PTI Blog Hop post AND my second Christmas card post of the year!  I couldn’t narrow down the non-traditional inspiration palettes so I went with 2 this month…both equally yummy in their own ways. 

Nothing makes me happier than bringing out the little jingle bells I’ve slowly collected over the past few years.  Nothing says “Christmas” like jingle bells (okay, and Baby Jesus! LOL)  I love how the sentiment fits perfectly onto the file tab!

Hold Christmas in Your Heart

Hold on to your jingle bells!  It’s Monday AND my first official Christmas card of the year!!  We had our first snowfalls this weekend during the nights so it didn’t feel that weird to break out the ornament stamps, dies and my beloved little jingle bells :)  Seriously, if I could get away with using those all year long, I would! HA!  I had time to play with this week’s Waltzingmouse Stamps Sketch and it made me think of the gorgeous Vintage Ornaments stamp set.  So then I hauled out my Christmas paper and started playing with a non traditional colour scheme.  I’m definitely a non traditional girl when it comes to Christmas colours so the pink, aqua and red from this Crate Paper pad made me a bit giddy :)

Hey, just to let you all know…I’m getting pretty close to 400 followers!  I know not everyone signs up to be a follower and just follows via bookmarks or google reader, but I thought it would be fun to have a little “400” blog candy when it occurs…so stay tuned!

Birthday Wishes

Good morning!  I was a stamping fiend yesterday and had time to play with some more of my fabulous Clearly Besotted Stamps!  My birthday stash is still quite low despite my best attempts to replenish so you’ll understand if more of my cards this month are birthday ones :)  I know it’s Autumn (Duchess!), but I can’t resist stamping these sweet reminders of lazy summer days. These butterflies and sentiment are from Butterfly Wishes…

Don’t you love the mix of butterfly images?  The most difficult thing about this card was the placement of the butterflies!  LOL  I swear I spent a good 20 minutes trying out every placement possible!  After dinner and a couple of glasses of wine, this was the final decision! Happy Birthday

Sunshine After Rain ~ CASE Study # 113

Good evening friends!  Welcome to a new week of inspiration over on the CASE Study challenge blog.  We are playing with another card from the super talented Julia Stainton!  Feast your eyes on this little beauty…

The colours just jumped at me this week as did the stamped flowers.  I don’t have any umbrella images, so I went with the “feeling better” and “love” theme from Julia’s card.  I just got my first order of Lil’ Inkers dies.
