A Merry Little Christmas

merrylittlechristmas

Good morning!  It was a cozy day at home yesterday, a lazy jammies morning with coffee and television news.  It had snowed throughout the night so it was even more blissful that I didn’t have to go out :)   I leisurely watched Dawn McVey’s Make it Monday video and had time to play with the challenge :)  Dawn showed us how to make a faux pocket card.  I grabbed my Christmas Poinsettia dies and some Autumn Rose felt and went to town!  Then I went into the kitchen to the recycle bin and grabbed my Starbucks Christmas sleeve to cut out some sweet leaves (did this last week as well on THIS CARD).  Here’s the rest of the tag…I made it so the recipient could use it as a bookmark after Christmas :)

Notice the fun sheet music paper?  I took Dawn’s advice a while back and went to our local book and sheet music sale that started this weekend.  I came away with some great Christmas music paper and used some to create the faux pocket.

Yes, those are super tiny silver bells on the ribbon!  I love that they are so small , not bulky at all, but satisfy my addition to jingle bells. As I’ve started saying “I need more Jingle Bells!” (an homage to the SNL skit ;)  Have a lovely day and thanks for visiting :)

Fabulous card. Love the colour combo and the felt poinsettia is gorgeous. Good tip for the sheet music too - though my daughter's piano teacher would most likely have a fit if she knew I did that LOL! Have a great day :)

Eeek! Those little bells are ADORABELL!!! ;D
Way to go on the recycling, Diva - the sheet music you've used is one of my favourite Christmas carols. Here's a request: Do you have Little Donkey? That's my ultimate fave carol *wink*
Hugs!
