Hugs & Kisses ~ Kristina's Colour Challenge!!

Good Sunday morning everyone :) Today's card is for Kristina's colour challenge!! She used to do them weekly (before my blog started) and after watching them come and go each week, I finally joined in some (even had 2 picked in her roundup!!). She is so busy now that this was a pleasant surprise to see this week...although, Kristina really makes it a challenge!! Five colours and a neutral (thank goodness!). Her mom is making her a quilt and these are the colours for it. I had to smile because they are very similar to the colours in MY quilt that my oldest sister made me for my 40th birthday a few years ago :)

It's a Ragtime quilt and has its home on my couch all year long!! I love to be swaddled, even in the summer!! LOL So the quilt idea inspired my card today....picked up all the colours in the "fabric" with a pop of blue ribbon and button :) Well, I'm back to work tomorrow, ugh!! I've been sleeping a lot so I wonder how I'll do with my 2 alarms waking me up!! LOL Wish me luck! Sunday blessings all around :)

What's in it?
Stamps: PTI Heart Prints
Ink: SU ruby red
Paper: PTI white, berry sorbet, polkadot dp; SU ruby red, autumn vine dp; Michaels dp
Accessories: Fiskars apron punch, stitching, satin ribbon, SU button, twine

What a gorgeous little quilt you've made on your card. Love the touches you've added: the stitching, the pretty blue ribbon and the apron lace paper trim.

Good morning, my friend! I love your card this morning. It was one of those, "Why didn't I think of that?!" moments, lol. The quilt pattern, the sewing, the ribbon... It's perfect for this color challenge! I haven't been over to Kristina's blog this week, but I'm definitely heading over now! Have a wonderful time at mass this morning. :)

Fabulously done, Maureen!! Love the quilt you created and the sentiment script is darling (PTI if I'm not mistaken). Bow is finishes things of wonderfully.

You aren't the only one sleeping a lot. It is a real adjustment to get back into the swing of things and change my time clock back to normal hours after two weeks of being up late and sleeping in.

You have had a very emotional few weeks, so sleep all you need to, it does wonders :D

What a pretty card! I love the quilt look of the card and I have been wanting to make a quilt similar to that one, but I have to learn how first! :)

Wowzers - your card quilt is a beauty - and a perfect example of how to use that many colors on one card without going crazy (like I would!)

What a beautiful card! As a quilter, I was especially drawn to your inspiration. I realize this is a crazy question, but would it be possible to ask your sister for the pattern of the rag quilt she made you. I make rag quilts for babies and want to make an adult one. I just wasn't sure how I would modify the layout. But, I love what she's done here for you. I appreciate your help!
